Changes to prescription requests

CHANGES TO HOW YOUR PRESCRIPTION REQUEST IS DEALT WITH

 

When you request a repeat prescription, or when a clinician issues you a prescription, you have some choices to make as to how you get that to the pharmacy of your choice for processing.

 

With assistance from the local pharmacies that you use, we have made some changes that will benefit our patients.

 

The first choice you have is to take your prescription to the pharmacy by hand (remember to allow 48 hours for us to process a repeat request before collecting from us).

 

If you would prefer just to collect your medication directly from the pharmacy of your choice, we can ensure that your prescription is collected from either our main surgery in Strathpeffer or from our branch surgery in Dingwall, by the pharmacies themselves.

 

It is important to us that our patients understand that once we have processed a prescription request, it is up to the patient to make a decision as to what they would like to happen with that prescription and if they chose for it to be collected, it is no longer our responsibility.

 

All the local pharmacies offer a daily collection service. Please note that if you choose for your prescription to be sent to Boots Pharmacy in Dingwall, it will take a little longer as we post out to them daily.
