Appointments

By appointment only – we do not operate a Walk-in Clinic

Consultations are by appointment only and bookings for both of our locations can be made by telephoning Strathpeffer on 01997 421455.  Walk in patients will be offered the next routine available appointment only.

All routine appointments are for 10 minutes duration. If you are aware that your consultation may be lengthy, or you have several health problems to discuss, please request a double appointment.

We operate Advanced Access. We cannot book GP appointments more than 7 days in advance. This means that we aim to provide appointments on the day, although this may not be with a GP of your choice. We advise that you book your appointment near to the time that you require it. This also helps us to reduce the amount of missed appointments

Appointment Booking Policy

Extended Hours

We do have appointments available on Tuesdays and Wednesdays for those unable to attend during normal surgery hours – please check with the surgery for availability. These vary from week to week – an early surgery runs from 7.30am and the late surgery from 5 – 6.30pm.

Training Practice

Please note that medical students are regularly attached to the practice as part of their undergraduate training. You should always be asked permission to allow the medical student to be involved in any part of your consultation. Please let a member of staff know if you would prefer the student not to be present in your consultation.

Cancellations

If you cannot attend an appointment for any reason please inform us as soon as possible in order for us to give the slot to someone else.

A DNA (Did not Attend) occurs when an appointment is not attended and the patient has not contacted the practice in advance to cancel it or where the cancellation is so late as to make it impossible to allocate that time to another patient who needs treatment. This is automatically added to the patients record.
